Charis comes from the Greek word “Charis” which means Grace. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9. We are saved by grace, not by works so that no man can boast. It is the gift of God the salvation of our souls through the death of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior and King. It was grace that God reaches towards us at Christ expense.
Agape, comes from the Greek word which also means divine love of God or the unconditional love of God. The love that highly esteem and the love that is ready to serve.
The Bible says, Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13)
